This past Monday, Bianca Picou and myself’s artwork was displayed in the the Coral Springs Museum of Art, right next to the work of renowned artist Toulouse Lautrec’s. Mrs. Katherine Sharp, The AP studio art teacher here at Cooper City High, entered only two student’s art pieces into the Superintendent’s Advanced Placement Studio Art competition, and to her excitement, both students were accepted. Picou’s beautiful colored pencil and graphite piece is entitled “Tastes Like Disappointment” and depicts three girls watching in horror as their ice cream falls onto a table. My piece is the photograph you see above, and it depicts a woman struggling with her insecurities.
