Who’s behind the camera?: CCHS welcomes new teachers to staff

A CCHS alumnus himself, science teacher John Laffey found his way back to Cooper City after teaching at Franklin Academy Pembroke Pines High School. A chemistry fiend, Laffey teaches the subject along with Environmental Science, interacting with students across all grades. But science isn’t the only thing he is passionate about. Laffey loves coding, working out, math and playing guitar for his band, “Thanks For Asking.” He also enjoys learning new languages and is currently trying to get more fluent in Spanish. Respect and integrity are some of his key values, and he wants all of his students to share his love of chemistry with him.
