Senior running back Camden Krohn scored four touchdowns as the Cowboys defeated Monarch 48-12 at Deerfield Beach high school.

The Knights defense proved unsuccessful against the Cowboys rushing attack, allowing Krohn to run for 134 yards. Senior quarterback Sam Wilensky completed 6 passes for 140 yards and threw a touchdown pass. The Cowboys other quarterback junior Lemond Johnson ran twice for 60 yards and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to senior Jessie Mims.

Although Cooper City had another big win, the Cowboys certainly have some things to fix on the field. The team had 4 turnovers against Monarch and that number has to decrease if they plan on repeating last year’s success.

“There were certainly some bright spots during the game,” Coach Art Taylor said. “But we need to stop the turnovers, especially when we face district opponents.”

The Cowboys return home on Friday September 23rd to face Cypress Bay high school.
