The Cooper City Cowboys girls soccer team played at 5:00 pm on Wednesday,  January 11. The Cowboys won 10-0, mercy ruling the Miramar Patriots and ending the game early at halftime. Even with bad weather conditions, the Cowboys managed to put away eight goals before halftime.

The Cowboys had three goals within the first ten minutes. The first goal was scored by Olivia Lewis, who was then followed by Abbi Gilchrist. Vikki Ramos then scored the third goal of the game. In total, the Cowboys had 29 shots, but only made 10 of them. The girls had scored eight of the goals with fifteen minutes still remaining.

“We passed really well, and played cohesively,” Sarah Megna said.

Sarah Molina had a hat trick and Jenee McPhail had one goal. It might not have been the most challenging game for the Cowboys, but the girls played good soccer. They also continued to play respectfully throughout the whole game even when players from the other team would become easily frustrated.

Final score: Cooper City 10, Miramar 0
