At music festivals, you are hypnotized not only by the psychedelic visuals on the screens, flashing lights, and pulsing rhythm from the DJs on stage, but also the wacky outfits people show off in.

As most of you know, music festivals are known for their obnoxiously bright and bizarre fashion. In terms of fashion there is something liberating about going to events such as Ultra, Coachella, Bonnaroo, and EDC. Each year, some looks become more and more out there and crazy looking; but overall there’s a lackadaisical attitude amongst the people that allows you to get away with wearing anything you want. Without these jubilant festival attendants the music festival experience would not be nearly as memorable. Music festival style has gained momentum over the past 5 years and it has been attracting major retail powerhouses to launch new lines focusing on everything young, hip, and festive. With the dates of different festivals looming you can’t help but fantasize about dancing nonstop under the fiery sun with your outlandish wardrobe. With the countdown starting, its time to gear up and start shopping, here are some must haves for the upcoming festivals.

It most fashionably worn with cropped tee shirts, bandeaus (otherwise known as bralettes), embellished bras, and even just little stickers on your chest. Face jewels are just as popular and becoming essential to add the perfect glamorous element to your outfit. Heart shaped glasses have become a cool stylish accessory. Flower power is all the rage amongst festival-goers and many strut their stuff with flower headbands in their hair. There aren’t just flowers in peoples hair, but also beaded accessories to add a fashionable twist to someone’s hair other then dying it.

If you really can’t deal with the heat, there is always the option of going topless with just your favorite jean shorts or swimming trunks. To shade your eyes, grab a pair of funky colorful sunglasses. The most common brand is Ray bands, worn by both men and woman. The last accessory needed to complete your look is a fitted hat that duals as protection from the sun.
