The spring season is classically recognized for yielding Easter eggs and matzo. However, spring fashion is a talk-worthy topic this year. New trends are in full bloom and a fashion foreshadow has already been established. Even in school, these spring 2012 trends can be incorporated into your daily look.

Mint Green

Girl Scout cookie season may have just ended, but thin mints are back. Well, just mint green to be exact. This pastel green hue is certainly the color to incorporate in your wardrobe this season. Both the Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 collections centered on this icy shade. Think of pastel shades as updated neutrals and you’ll be sure to be in mint condition.

Bold Rain Boots

April showers bring May flowers. This phrase has been branded into our heads since childhood, but only now can we appreciate it as the foundation of this new trend. Cheery, vibrant colors and wild patterns are what this season’s rain boots are all about. Given that the tops of the boot are regularly wide and flexible, you want a narrow line leading down the leg. A stretchy, slim pair of jeans is best. Socks that come up to the knee work perfectly with a pair of rain boots. For a layered look, wear the socks over skinny jeans, leggings or tights.

Reverse French Manicure

Another French revolution is in the making. This manicure features a solid crescent on the bottom of the nail and has already been seen making a splash at numerous runway shows. This hot new nail trend has been featured in Vogue Magazine and spotted on Hollywood celebs like Solange Knowles, Dita Von Teese, Mina Suvari and much more. If you’re intimidated by this new look experts suggest an off white crescent to contrast with a full black nail. If you’re eager to dive in, get creative with different color combinations.

Sport Couture

Even if you’re not on the way to the gym, no one has to know. Colorful, eye-catching sportswear is big on this season’s spring runways. Performance inspired wear and garments with an athletic undertone are what to look out for. This trend has been embodied in the collections of multiple designers, from Victoria Bekham to Vera Wang.
