The boys’ varsity basketball team squared off against Cypress Bay High School on Thursday night at home hoping to grab a win.

The Cowboys began the game well, but struggled to keep up their intensity as the game progressed.

The Lightning went on a run to end the second quarter and ended up tying the score at halftime 16-16.

The level of offensive intensity that Cypress Bay ended the first half with continued into the third quarter, separating them from the Cowboys on the scoreboard. The deficit heading into the fourth quarter was just too large come back from and the Cowboys ended up losing the game 38-58, dropping their record to 1-4 on the season.

Be there for the varsity team’s next game on Tuesday, December 14th at Flanagan High School for the 7:30 start.
